Expanding Opportunities for All

App-based work provides people with opportunities to earn income on their own terms, with the added flexibility to support their families, achieve their academic or entrepreneurial goals, and pursue their dreams and contribute to their communities.

Three out of every four app-based earners prefer maintaining their independent contractor status, including 76% of white, 73% of Hispanic, and 72% of Black app-based earners. 81% of Hispanic adults and 75% of Black adults have used app-based platforms.
Older Americans: Flex member companies are committed to supporting older Americans, providing them with opportunities to earn, meet new people, and thrive up to and in their retirement.

Veterans: App-based work aids veterans in transitioning to civilian life, with 92% expressing satisfaction and 61% likely to recommend it. Veterans choose app-based work to give back to their communities (49%), earn multiple income streams (49%), and control their schedules (8%).
